    Sammanfattning : Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur svensklärare i årskurs 1–3 använder sånginslag i ämnet och om lärare anser att elevers fonologiska medvetenhet, identiteter och förståelse för omvärlden stärks genom att låta elever sjunga i undervisningen. Varför detta syfte kändes aktuellt för mig är tydligheten i läroplanens ämnesplan i svenska där det uttrycks att elever ska stimuleras i att uttrycka sig genom olika estetiska uttrycksformer och att elever ska möta olika typer av texter, scenkonst och annat estetiskt berättande.
