Ungdomars attityder gentemot socialtjänsten - en kvalitativ studie med en kommun i Skåne som utgångspunkt

Sammanfattning: This study was conducted using a qualitative method, where we interviewed 6 young individuals at a youth center in southern Sweden, with the aim of investigating what attitudes young people hold towards social services as an institution and identifying potential factors that may influence these attitudes, including whether prior experiences with the authority made any difference in their attitudes. The results showed a range of attitudes, similar to other research. Positive experiences with the institution made them trust social services and have good opinions, while negative experiences made them hold onto negative views. What others said about social services also had an important role in forming attitudes, especially for young people who didn't have their own experience with social services. Their attitudes were based on what they heard from the news, friends, and people they knew.
