Förbisedd : en medborgarrättsstudie om gatubarnen i Mbale, Uganda

Sammanfattning: The purpose with this essay was to examine what civic rights the streetchildren in Mbale, Uganda, had. We also wanted to see if they had access to all the rights they are supposed to have according to the law. The streetchildren we examined were the ones who normally go to CRO, an organization that deals with the streetchildren of Mbale. We found out that as a member of the Ugandan society every child should be entitled to fundamental rights such as food, shelter and protection against harm. When this report was finished we came to the conclusion that the streetchildren were excluded from their legal rights because of the fact that they are streetchildren. We also found out that this kind of exclusion, according to scientists, can make the streetchildren incomplete human beeings, since importante human characteristics has been taken away from them, namely the one beeing a part of a society.
