Sammanfattning: Background: This study focuses on how floorball coaches adapt their leadership style in success, adversity and during the course of a match. There is a general perception that leading in success is easierthan leading in adversity. Regardless of the organization, leadership largely involves problem-solving. The theoretical framework for this study is leadership styles. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine how floorball coaches have adapted based in the situation they find themselves in.  Method: The study employed open individual interviews as the chosen method. Five individual interviews were conducted with floorball coaches. The selection criteria required the coaches to have experience coaching at a high level in floorball. Results: The findings of the study revealed that that floorball coaches adapt their leadership style when the situation demands it. In times of success, the adaptation could involve modifying the group's objectives to ensure continued progress. In times of adversity, the adaptation could involve transitioning from a democratic leadership style to a more authoritarian one. During a match, the adaptation resembled that observed in times of adversity. Other results from the study indicated that success, as perceived by floorball coaches, included player development, player enjoyment, and winning results. Adversity was characterized by a lack of player development, creating an environment where players feel comfortable, absence of player enjoyment, and losing results. Finally, the study identified the specific leadership styles employed by the floorball coaches. Keywords: Situational leadership, success, adveristy
