Sammanfattning: The aim of this Master’s thesis is to examine how students studying to become physiotherapists use the library’s website at the Medical Faculty at Lund University. We wanted to investigate whether the students were satisfied or not satisfied with the website’s structure and navigation and we also wanted to know how the students used the website and how well the website responded to the information needs of the students. Finally we wanted to examine if the librarians had an adequate picture of the students' information needs. In order to examine our four questions we conducted interviews with six physiotherapist students and three librarians at the Medical Faculty. We also sent out a digital survey to the students and used Google Analytics, which is a tool to help you measure what links and functions are mostly used on a website. The theories used were Carol Collier Kuhlthau’s theory of the Information Search Process (ISP), which focuses on the user, and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), which focuses both on the system and on the user. The results showed that the students found it quite easy to navigate on the website and they were also satisfied with the content of the website. This shows that the librarians have a good understanding of the students' information needs. But the students did have some difficulties with finding information that the librarians had chosen not to put on the main page of the website - a result that shows the librarian's responsibility for organizing the information resources in a way that is easy accesible for the students. The results also showed a tendency among the students to use the library's databases and search engines like Google in the same way. By not knowing the best ways to search for information in different types of databases, library catalogues and search engines, the students will miss out on valuable information. Therefore, teaching information literacy and digital literacy to the students is an important task for the librarians.
