Design och förädling av en liten och kustnära trädgård

Detta är en L3-uppsats från SLU/Dept. of Landscape Architecture, Planning and Management (from 130101)

Sammanfattning: A small garden exposed to a harsh coastal climate can be difficult to design. Limitations in space and in plant varieties increase the needs of an in-depth knowledge to achieve wanted goals. In this degree project the challenge has been to create a functional and position adapted garden for a very small beach house lot in Mölle, a little harbour village at the south coast of Kullaberg. "Villa Malm", is situated directly on the bedrock in a close settlement where the gardens, in most cases are very small and exposed to strong salty winds. Several families stay here during the summer and the garden will have the function of an outdoor gathering place for meals, as well as providing extra space. Literature studies as well as site- and surrounding studies includes coastal plants, the local flora and environment, and ideas for the small garden. On this basis of this knowledge and with an analysis of the needs of the family I have produced this garden plan. Enclosed are descriptions and pictures of my work as a result of my study. Hopefully someone who is planning a garden with these conditions can use my results as a knowledge giving base or as an inspiration.
