    Sammanfattning : El objetivo de este estudio consiste en mostrar la hipótesis de que Allende utiliza la invisibilidad como recurso literario antropológico de crítica poscolonial en los encuentros entre la gente de la Neblina y los expedicionarios Occidentales en La Ciudad de Las Bestias. Para lograr el objetivo el estudio se desarrolla con el análisis de texto como método; basándose primeramente en las teorías antropológicas de Turner y en segundo lugar en la teoría poscolonial para averiguar cómo la obra de Allende toma parte en la construcción de la cultura – con el fin de mostrar otras perspectivas y formas de pensar en contraste con los estereotipos coloniales.
