  1. 1. Representations of Three-Body Interactions In Physics

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematisk fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Joel Johansen; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Three-Body Interactions; Two-Body Interactions; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : The thesis explores an already developed symmetry adapted representation of a two-body interaction with the main goal of extending the method to also include three-body interactions. The method considers a space of shifted one dimensional Gaussian particle densities which are used, together with their corresponding Hartree potentials, to define the respective collective subspaces in which the interactions are expanded. 2. 2. Capture into mean motion resonance

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Astronomi - Genomgår omorganisation

    Författare :Kaltrina Kajtazi; [2021]
    Nyckelord :MMR; Mean motion resonance; Planetary dynamics; First order MMR; Numerical integration with N-body; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : Orbital or mean motion resonance (MMR) occurs when the orbital period ratio between two planets is close to a ratio of small integers. MMR can protect planets from collisions and affects the overall final architecture of the system. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Chaos in Stellar Dynamics - Outcomes of Binary-Single interactions in Globular Clusters

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Astronomi - Genomgår omorganisation; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för astronomi och teoretisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation

    Författare :Lucas Hellström; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Stellar Dynamics; Binary-Single interactions; Dynamical encounters; Additional processes; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : Gravitational encounters between a single star and a binary system can frequently occur in the cores of dense stellar systems like globular clusters. These three-body scattering encounters can lead to a variety of outcomes since the energy of the binary components can be exchanged with the interacting single star. LÄS MER
