Solel på Michael Hansens Kollegium

Detta är en Kandidat-uppsats från Lunds universitet/Institutionen för bygg- och miljöteknologi

Sammanfattning: The board at the Student accommodation house Michael Hansens Kollegium (MHK) in Lund, Sweden was interested to investigate if the building Benzelius 2 could benefit from having a solar system installed on it’s roof. The report shall answer on what eventual costs and savings the solar system would result in. The report shall give the board of MHK an indication whether to invest or not. Several methods are used in this report. Initially research of papers to get an understanding of the subject. The relevant literature is assembled in the “theory part”. The theory was complemented with data to be able to run the simulations in the solar software programs. Data such as hourly used electricity, climate file and electricity prices were gathered. The hourly usage and production were then compared to receive a quote on what the annual savings would be with the system of choice. The simulations were done in the SAM for the solar system. The data from SAM was used to calculate the investment, Payback-time and LCOE. The report concluded that MHK can profit from a solar system. There is a lot of uncertainty to pinpoint the cost and the payback period.
