Sammanfattning: Abstract Background: There are patients in palliative care that prefer to be cared for in their own home until they die. In order for patients to receive good care, the care should be based on their needs and wishes and be based on respect with regard to their integrity and dignity. Nurses who work in palliative home care should therefore have the knowledge and skills required to care for and treat patients at home. Aim: The aim is to describe nurses experiences of caring in palliative home care. Method: Systematic literature study with descriptive synthesis based on fourteen scientific articles. Results: Two themes were identified by the results. The first theme is good cooperation creates security, the second theme is lacking organizational conditions affecting the safety of patients and nurses. Conclusion: Working in palliative home care means opportunities to create caring relationships with patients and relatives. It also challenges as there is a lot of knowledge and experiences. Home health care is a demanding workplace as it occurs to several organizational shortcomings which included time, resources and support.   Keywords: Experiences, Home care, Nurses, Palliative care, Qualitative.
