Sammanfattning: Background:As the population ages, so does the frequency of falls among the olderpeople. Falling is very common among the older people and can cause physical,psychological and social impacts on the older people. However, repeated falls can notonly limit the older people physically, but also make them psychologically anxious.Understanding how they feel after a fall can help us improve the quality of our lives.Aim:The aim of the study was to describe older people’s experiences of falls andprevention programs.Methods:A descriptive review including 13 articles with a qualitative approach, all ofwhich were retrieved from PubMed and Cinahl and published within ten years.Results:The resulted in older adults have different views of falls themselves andpreventive measures,Falling into one's own perspective, including self-conceit,fearand depression,neglect of hazard,isolation,avoid the fact of falling,lucky,be calm aboutthe fact that you fell,accept the impact of falls on your life; Opinions on preventivemeasures include embarrassment and shame, lake of objectiveness, lake of motivationand effectiveness.Conclusions:In the face of falls, older people have both fear and self-conceit, and inthe face of preventive measures, they may consider them effective. Therefore, healtheducation, increased attention to the older people, and changes in the familyenvironment can all help prevent falls to a certain extent.Keywords:Experience, fall, older people
