Sammanfattning: Background: When patients and relatives in the recovery process experience that the nurse is absent, left without professional support and lacking knowledge about her new life situation, further suffering may occur. Accumulated knowledge can clarify nurse’s experience of which nursing interventions that might contribute to patient recovery from illness. Aim: To describe nurse experience of nursing interventions that might support patient’s recovery. Method: A literature review was conducted on ten qualitative studs. These were analyzed with descriptive synthesis. Result: The results identified three themes and from these six subthemes. It was found that it was important to take part of the patient's story and get to know the patient and to work on the basis of realistic nursing actions and goals tailored to the unique patient's needs and resources. A safe environment around the patient will be a support for the recovery through the nurse's approach and attendance, and that relations and associated relatives affected. Personal-, physical-, social-, and emotional support; promoted patient's recovery. Conclusion: The nurse's overall experience on which nursing interventions that promote the unique patient's recovery was adapted to the patient as a whole.
