Sammanfattning: This Bachelor of Science thesis describes a product development project for the course finalproject for the engineering program in innovation technology and design at KarlstadUniversity. This thesis has been carried out by Elina Byström and Hedvig Pettersson duringthe spring semester of 2023 and comprises of 22,5 credits. The examiner for the course is LeoDe Vin and the supervisor is Monica Jakobsson.The project has been carried out on behalf of the company Alligo AB, who produces workclothes, personal protection, tools, and supplies. The goal of the assignment is to identifyproblem definitions based on the users' requirements and wishes for work clothes. Based onthe interview study that is also carried out, one or more concept developers facilitate use forthe user.The main parts of the project were project planning, research, product specification, conceptgeneration, concept selection, and concept development. Two central parts of the research, theliterature survey and the interview study are the basis for this entire project and are the twoparts that took the most time to complete. In addition, a patent study has been done toexamine what is already on the market and for an inspirational purpose.To produce a final concept, the functional analysis and the requirements specification havebeen important to first compile all the functions that the products must be able to perform andthen based on the functional analysis to produce a requirements specification. The result ofthe project was a concept for the knee pocket and one for the tool holder. These conceptsfulfill the project's goals, and the users' requirements and answer the problem formulationsthat are identified. The solutions meet the main requirement that they should be flexible andeasy to use, as well as possible individual adaptations. Finally prototypes of the solutionwhere created to get a sense of what the concept looks like as well as its actual size.
