  1. 16. Charge transfer states at polymer solar cell interfaces : Insights from atomic-scale modeling

    Master-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för ingenjörsvetenskap och fysik (from 2013)

    Författare :Rickard Svensson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :organic solar cells; OSC; polymer; interface; charge transfer; non-fullerene acceptor; PYT; PBDB-T; DFT; TD-DFT; conformation; alkyl groups; methylation; HOMO; LUMO; FMO; NTO; UV-Vis; DOS; exciton; exciton binding energy; dipole moment; open-circuit voltage; organiska solceller; OSC; polymer; gränssnitt; laddningsöverföring; icke-fullerenacceptor; PYT; PBDB-T; DFT; TD-DFT; konformation; alkylgrupper; metylering; HOMO; LUMO; FMO; NTO; UV-Vis; DOS; exciton; excitonbindningsenergi; dipolmoment; tomgångsspänning;

    Sammanfattning : Organic solar cells (OSCs) based on non-fullerene acceptors (NFAs) have attracted a great deal of attention in recent years due to their rapidly increasing efficiency and enormous potential. In this work, the optical and electronic properties of systems containing the very promising non-fullerene acceptor PYT have been thoroughly studied with the use of the density functional theory (DFT) and the time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT). 2. 17. Green's Functions Investigations in Quantum Transport Geometries

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematisk fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Philip Johansson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Quantum transport; Green s functions; self-energy; non-equilibrium; many-body physics; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis we employ the non-equilibrium Green’s function (NEGF) method to study both finite and infinite systems. We develop a codebase capable of computing the steady state interacting NEGF in open systems, i.e. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Lactate as a signaling molecule : A potential role in controlling exercise induced adaptations in human skeletal muscle

    Magister-uppsats, Gymnastik- och idrottshögskolan, GIH/Institutionen för fysisk aktivitet och hälsa

    Författare :Fabian Nordström; [2021]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction The lactate molecule has a key role in human energy metabolism, particularly in skeletal muscle: acting as a buffer within the muscle cell enabling glycolysis to continue during high energy demand, as well as acting as an energy shuttle between cells. The lactate molecule has also lately been shown to act as a signaling molecule in non-human models acting as a signaling molecule regulating the transcriptional process, potentially controlling the expression of several important metabolic proteins. 4. 19. Theory of Time-Dependent Transport and Levitons in Nanowires

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fasta tillståndets fysik

    Författare :Jakob Westerberg; [2021]
    Nyckelord :leviton; Tkwant; tight-binding model; solid-state physics; time-dependent transport; scattering theory; quantum mechanics; computer simulation; nanowire; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : An interesting type of quasi-particles in solid-state materials are the so-called levitons. These are single- electron excitations above the Fermi-level that do not produce any hole states when carrying an integer multiple of the elementary charge. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Microgrid in future distribution electrical grids

    M1-uppsats, Karlstads universitet

    Författare :Muhanad Salman; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Microgrid; distribution; monitoring; control;

    Sammanfattning : The main focus in this thesis is to evaluate if the microgrids is an option to be utilized for the future in achieving 100% renewable power with a net zero carbon emissions. This is an ongoing goal from the ambitious Swedish energy policy with the main points that was established in the Paris Agreement that is a legally binding international treaty on climate change.
