  2. 2. Accessibility in Social Media : Facebook and the Older Adult

    Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan i Borås/Akademin för bibliotek, information, pedagogik och IT

    Författare :Angie Jeansson Hall; Arshed Al-Hadeethi; Jenny Gustafsson; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Older Social Media Users; Heuristic Evaluation; Inclusive Design; WCAG Compliance; Digital Exclusion; Facebook Usability; User Study;

    Sammanfattning : In recent years, there has been a substantial increase in the percentage of seniors using social media, yet few studies have been conducted to understand the challenges underlying social network utilisation by seniors. By understanding what motivates seniors to use social media, the difficulties they encounter while using them and what would be an inclusive social media from their perspective is paramount for designing inclusive user interfaces that suit this growing population. Sammanfattning : Public Bike-Sharing systems have been employed in many cities around the globe. Shared bikes are an efficient and convenient means of transportation in advanced societies. Nonetheless, station planning and local bike-sharing network effectiveness can be challenging. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Peak Load Shaving Strategies of an Office Building : A Case Study at AirSon

    Master-uppsats, Högskolan i Halmstad/Akademin för företagande, innovation och hållbarhet

    Författare :Azin Farzam; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Shifting Peak Load; Electricity Reduction; Measuring Peak Load; Electricity Efficiency; Building Management System; Electricity Consumption.;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction: The global demand for renewable energy is expected to grow annually due to rising electricity consumption and economic and regulatory incentives. Efficient consumption and management of electricity consumption can support this trend (shifting from fossil resources to renewable resources) and benefit companies economically by reducing peak loads, reducing subscription costs, and protecting companies' power systems and networks. 5. 5. The Role of Technology Shifts in Urban Decarbonization Modelling : Scenario creation and implementation

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Energisystem

    Författare :Batiste Fourniols; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Urban area; Decarbonization policies; Scenario modeling; District heating; Gas distribution network; Geospatial resolution; Stadsområde; utfasning av fossila bränslen; scenariomodellering; fjärrvärme; gasdistributionsnät; geospatial upplösning;

    Sammanfattning : This work includes modelling of decarbonization scenarios at the scale of an urban area, providing policy insights and a methodology focusing on introducing district heating and maintaining the existing gas distribution network in a case study. With a focus on reducing gas consumption in the residential and tertiary sectors, the research integrates scenario developments giving a methodology to develop district heating, requiring a careful balance in selecting the optimal scale for city-wide analysis.
