  1. 1. Station-level demand prediction in bike-sharing systems through machine learning and deep learning methods

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Nikolaos Staikos; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Physical Geography; Ecosystem Analysis; Bike-sharing demand; Machine learning; Deep learning; Spatial regression; Graph Convolutional Neural Network; Multiple Linear Regression; Multilayer Perceptron Regressor; Support Vector Machine; Random Forest Regressor; Urban environment; Micro-mobility; Station planning; Geomatics; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Public Bike-Sharing systems have been employed in many cities around the globe. Shared bikes are an efficient and convenient means of transportation in advanced societies. Nonetheless, station planning and local bike-sharing network effectiveness can be challenging. LÄS MER

  2. 2. FROM SPACE TO THE SUBSURFACE. Examining Relations Between Vegetation Indices and Local Groundwater Storage.

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Gustav Antonsson; [2023-11-06]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This study aimed to examine the relationship between vegetation indices, NDVI and NDWI, and groundwater levels in the county of Kalmar, utilizing correlation and regression analysis. Further, by examining related geospatial features the study aimed to interpret the statistical outcomes to identify significant temporal and spatial patterns. LÄS MER

  3. 3. EUROSKEPTISKA PARTIERS OMVÄNDA REAKTIONSFÖRMÅGA En studie av euroskeptiska partiers position till EU vid positiv förskjutning av den allmänna opinionen

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Statsvetenskapliga institutionen

    Författare :Joakim Nilsson; [2023-06-29]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This paper investigates the party positioning of Eurosceptical parties in relation to public opinion when it is trending positively. Previous crisis in Europe have led to Eurosceptical parties to adopt a negative stance towards the European Union, seemingly aligning with public opinion, However, it is unclear whether the changing of positioning for these parties occurs in both positive and a negative way, as adopting a less critical stance contradicts the political agendas of Eurosceptical parties. 4. 4. Where there is road, there is fire (influence): An exploratory study on the influence of roads in the spatial patterns of Swedish wildfires of 2018

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Gabriel Romeo Ferriols Pavico; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Geography; GIS; Wildfire; Fire Spatial Patterns; Road; Conformity; FWI; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : This study focuses on the Swedish wildfire season of 2018, when the country incurred ten times more than the average burnt area that occurred in previous years. The study aims to address a broad research question: Do roads influence the size of the burned area? This study fills the gap in research on the effects of roads in the spatial patterns of wildfires.
