    Sammanfattning : The aim of this bachelor thesis was to examine how the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet represented the leading characters in the reporting about the murder of Yara Alnajjar. The questions examined were: How is Yara, the perpetrators and the municipality of Karlskrona represented in Aftonbladet? How is the relationship between the leading characters of the texts constructed? And what is the relationship between the characters and the audience?  To approach this we made a discourse analysis of ten texts from Aftonbladet, all related to the tragic series of events that costed Yara Alnajjar her life.
