1. Utsläppsminskning per extra investerad krona : En kostnadsnyttoanalys för en VA-ledning på Hisingen med hjälp av en klimatkalkyl
Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaperSammanfattning : This project presents a cost-benefit analysis for a water and sewage pipeline project in north Hisingen, Sweden, with a focus on the climate impact of the project. Specifically, the project examines the emissions in carbon dioxide equivalents from the project per invested Swedish krona, using a climate calculation. LÄS MER
2. Innovation in Industrial Building Sustainability : Exploring timber frames as a viable alternative to steel frames in industrial buildings A case study of Sweco AB
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för samhällsbyggnad och industriell teknikSammanfattning : Lund University (2020) describes that the material chosen for the construction of constructions significantly affects the environment. Due to the impact of the choice of construction materials on the environment, we have carried out an in-depth study where we examine the complex decision-making process when choosing frame materials concerning both external and internal factors where external influences become regulatory requirements related to global sustainability goals with the aim that the industrial construction industry can find sustainable solutions such as hybrid solutions in the choice of frame materials, while internal factors involve financial considerations linked to the protection of materials against environmental conditions and challenges that industrial buildings can face. 3.
4. Re-thinking green roof design : The prospect of a carbon sink structure investigated through a life cycle cost-benefit analysis
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Internationella miljöinstitutetSammanfattning : Green Roofs (GRs) have been used worldwide as a solution for greening cities, while providing useful services to society such as storm water management, improved air quality, energy savings, and increased biodiversity, to name a few. However, the environmental impact of their structure has been understudied, and more importantly, the carbon cost related to the use of materials that have a high carbon footprint has received little to no attention. 5. Evaluating the economic feasibility of the Passive House in China
Master-uppsats, KTH/Fastigheter och byggandeSammanfattning : The Passive House as a type of energy-efficient and cost-efficiency housing, has been implemented widely around the world, and made great contribution to energy saving and environment protection. Although the Passive House requires higher investment in early stage compared to conventional houses, it has many benefits including improving indoor climate and saving energy consumption. LÄS MER
