  1. 11. Beyond Traditional Tomography: X-ray Multi-projection Imaging for Additive Manufacturing

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Maria Esther Vilar Alvarez; [2023]
    Nyckelord :X-ray tomography; X-ray multiprojection-imaging; deep learning; additive manufacturing; synchrotron radiation; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to push the limits of 3D X-ray imaging by studying the minimum number of projections required to retrieve high-quality reconstructions for additive manufacturing processes. This project first focuses on understanding how X-ray tomography works, by reconstructing additive manufacturing data already obtained (from PSI, TOMCAT beamline) using two standard reconstruction algorithms, GRIDREC and SIRT. 2. 12. Toward Equine Gait Analysis : Semantic Segmentation and 3D Reconstruction

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Datorseende

    Författare :Evelina Hult; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Deep Learning; Computer Vision; Semantic Segmentation; Structure-from-Motion; Equine Gait Analysis; Harness Racing Horses; Engineering and Technology; Natural Sciences; Computer Vision Laboratory;

    Sammanfattning : Harness racing horses are exposed to high workload and consequently, they are at risk of joint injuries and lameness. In recent years, the interest in applications to improve animal welfare has increased and there is a demand for objective assessment methods that can enable early and robust diagnosis of injuries. 3. 13. Financial Modelling Using Fractional Processes And The Wiener Chaos Expansion

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Matematik (Avd.)

    Författare :Olof Hummelgren; [2022]
    Nyckelord :fractional Brownian motion; fBM; applied mathematics; Wiener chaos expansion; Wick product; Hurst parameter; fraktionell Brownsk rörelse; tillämpad matematik; Wiener kaosexpansion; Wickprodukt; Hurstparameter;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to simulate stochastic models that are driven by a fractional Brownian motion process and to apply these methods to financial applications related to yield rate and asset price modelling. Several rough volatility processes are used to model the asset price and yield dynamics. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Deformationsmätning av kubhörnsreflektorer med fotobaserad skanning och terrester laserskanning

    Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan i Gävle/Samhällsbyggnad

    Författare :Mathias Erkkilä; Torkel Pettersson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :close-range photogrammetry; terrestrial laser scanning; deformation measurement; corner reflectors; InSAR; fotobaserad skanning; Terrester laserskanning; deformationsmätning; kubhörnsreflektor; InSAR;

    Sammanfattning : Kubhörnsreflektorer används som måltavlor med kontinuerlig och identifierbar reflekterad signalstyrka vid fjärranalys, bland annat för tekniken ”interferometric synthetic aperture radar” [InSAR]. Kubhörnsreflektorer tillämpas exempelvis för bevakning av sättningar i jordytan och kalibrering av [SAR]-system (”synthetic aperture radar”). LÄS MER

  5. 15. Time-resolved x-ray diffraction study of longitudinal optical phonons in zincblende semiconductors

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Atomfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Lassi Linnala; [2022]
    Nyckelord :femtosecond THz radiation; ultrafast x-ray diffraction; pump-probe; longitudinal optical phonons; zincblende semiconductors; anharmonic decay; density functional perturbation theory; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : Anharmonic decay of longitudinal optical (LO) phonons in zincblende semiconductors is not at present well characterized due to the polar and many-body nature of the problem. Femtosecond THz radiation offers a novel route to this study, as the interaction of this radiation is directly with the phonon lattice and these THz excited phonons do not have enough energy to excite electrons over the band gap.
