16. COMPARISON OF THE WIND POWER PRODUCTION MODELS IN THE BALTIC SEA, A CASE STUDY IN THE LILLGRUND OFFSHORE WIND FARM
Magister-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaperSammanfattning : Wind energy, which is no emission of greenhouse gases, is attracting increasing attention world widely. Compared to onshore wind farms, offshore wind farms can yield greater power production since the wind speeds over the sea are higher and steadier than those over the land. LÄS MER
17. High-Redshift Gamma-ray Bursts as seen by SVOM/ECLAIRs
Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/RymdteknikSammanfattning : Gamma Ray Burst (GRB) are very bright cosmological explosions signalling the catastrophic formation of a black hole. Therefore, they act like real light beacons that could be detected through-out the Universe and be used as probes to study the contents and phases of the early Universe. However, only a handful sample is known so far. LÄS MER
18. Cellulose nanocrystals functionalized cellulose acetate electrospun membranes for adsorption and separation of nanosized particles
Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/MaterialvetenskapSammanfattning : Filtration and separation technologies remain as one of the biggest challenges humanity currently faces. The separation of different elements such as bacteria, viruses, heavy metals, particles, and chemical agents require the development of multifunctional membranes. LÄS MER
19. Coupled flux nucleation model applied to the metallic glass AMZ4
Master-uppsats, Malmö universitet/Institutionen för materialvetenskap och tillämpad matematik (MTM)Sammanfattning : Additive manufacturing (AM), also known as 3D-printing, has made it possible to produce components made of bulk metallic glass (BMG) which have remarkable properties compared to parts made of conventional alloys. A metallic glass is a metastable noncrystalline alloy that form if a melt is quenched with a sufficient cooling rate. LÄS MER
20. Bubble Dynamics on Artificial Nucleation Sites in Boiling Heat Transfer
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)Sammanfattning : Pool boiling heat transfer is a complicated scientific problem due to the complex phase change process. In recent years, with the development of nuclear technology, microelectronics and space exploration, more attention has been paid to boiling which present great potentials for the thermal management in these applications because nucleate boiling has much better heat transfer performance than single-phase fluid, while bubbles, including their departure frequency and diameter and the interaction between bubbles plays an important role in determination of the heat transfer performance.
