  1. 1. Potentiella tillämpningar för SMC (spent mushroom compost) inom växtodling

    Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Biosystems and Technology (from 130101)

    Författare :Matilda Ericson; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Agaricus bisporus; champinjon; organisk gödsel; jordförbättring; suppressiva substrat; växtskydd; cirkulär ekonomi; white button mushroom; organic fertilizer; soil amendment; suppressive substrates; plant protection; circular economy;

    Sammanfattning : Det finns flera utmaningar inom hortikultur idag, bland annat att hitta alternativa lösningar till kemiska växtskyddsmedel, torv och konstgödsel. Cirkulär ekonomi och återvinning av näringsströmmar kan vara en möjlig väg för att bemöta dessa utmaningar. Champinjon (Agaricus bisporus) är den mest odlade svampen i Sverige. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Potentiella miljörisker med geoenergisystems temperaturpåverkan i mark och grundvatten

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Miljövetenskaplig utbildning

    Författare :Julia Nilsson; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Geoenergi; grundvattenkemi; mikroorganismer; flora; fauna; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this literature study was to answer whether the thermal impact of geothermal energy systems pose a potential environmental risk to groundwater quality and microorganisms in the sub surface and to above ground vegetation. This study shows that the thermal impact of high temperature systems operating with temperatures ≥25⁰C in groundwater could lead to adverse effects on groundwater chemistry and biodiversity, such as mobilization of arsenic and DOC. 3. 3. Search for Preserved Methanogenic Organisms in Ophiolitic Rocks through Lipid Biomarker Analysis – Implications for Astrobiological Explorations

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Alexandra Zetterlind; [2020]
    Nyckelord :ophiolite; deep biosphere; archaea; methanogenesis; chemosynthesis; serpentinite-hosted ecosystems; lipid biomarkers; astrobiology; ofiolit; djupbiosfär; arkeér; metanogener; kemosyntes; serpentinit-drivna ekosystem; lipidbiomarkörer; astrobiologi;

    Sammanfattning : Serpentinization is a metamorphic low-temperature geological process, involving a series of chemical reactions that hydrate ultramafic rocks into serpentines and other minerals such as magnetite and brucite. Moreover, the process produces heavily reducing and highly alkaline fluids together with molecular hydrogen (H2) and methane (CH4), which have the capacity to support chemosynthetic microbial life. 4. 4. Site Study of Fibrous Sediments in Sandviken, Ångermanälven River Estuary, Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Naturresurser och hållbar utveckling

    Författare :Joanna Ghaderidosst; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Fiberbank; fiber-rich; fibrous sediment; pulp and paper industry; bearing capacity; FluMu; Penetrometer; Pollution; consolidation; gas; Fiberbank; fiberrik; fiberhaltigt sediment; pappersindustri; bärkraft; FluMu; penetrometer; förorening; gas;

    Sammanfattning : Pulp and paper industries in Sweden have since the end of the 19th century until late 70s been active in dumping wastewater into adjacent water bodies that have created fibrous sediments called fiberbank and fiber-rich sediment. Fiberbanks are large banks of predominantly organic material while fiber-rich sediment is fibrous sediment that has been mixed with bottom sediment. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Effects of 100 years of drainage on peat properties in a drained peatland forests in northern Sweden

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Forest Ecology and Management

    Författare :Mikaela Casselgård; [2020]
    Nyckelord :ash content; biodiversity; bulk density; carbon; climate; compaction; ditch; drainage; greenhouse gas emissions; groundwater level; isotopes; nitrogen; peatland; restoration;

    Sammanfattning : Natural peatlands provide a small but persistent long-term carbon (C) sink. However, within the last century their extent in Sweden has declined by about 1.5-2.0 million hectares due to drainage activities. LÄS MER
