"Alkohol är ett gift" eller "festa rätt" : En undersökning om vad ungdomstidningar förmedlar om alkohol och narkotika

Sammanfattning: The purpose of this essay was to examine what consequenses of alcohol and narcotics that youth magazines describe and how the user and addict is described. My porpose was also to examine what situations the magazines claim that alcohol and narcotics are related to. The questions for my studie was: 1. How is an alcoholic/drug addict /user described in youth magazines? 2. What situations are related to alcohol/narcotics in youth magazines? 3. What consequenses of alcohol/ narcotics is described in youth magazines? The empirical data was derived from four Swedish youth magazines: Chili, Frida, Glöd and Kamratposten. This essay is qualtitative, descriptive and in the analysis the data was systematized into categories. Alcohol/drug- addict/user were found to be described as a homless, a prostitutute, a stripper, a ordinary kid, a parent or a celeberty. Consequenses of alcolhol and narcotics were found to be described as both negative and positive. The user can be anything from happy to die. Another consequense written i magazines where taken into custody. Finally, situations that are related to alcohol or narcotics in the magazins were whith friends, at partys, on weekdays, when you travel, outdoor and when you have sex.
