Sammanfattning: Purpose: The purpose of this study is to create a groundwork for studiesregarding the effectivity in the recruitment process, this by using anexplorative approach. The effectivity in the recruitment process couldbe measured in how great the match between companies and jobseekersis. In this pre-study there is a focus on, if there is any potential,that former professional athletes can make the recruitment process ofnew leaders in companies more effective.Methodology: The research question is answered by using a deductive and qualitativeapproach. The deductive approach is used, as our theoretical secondarydata has been the key frame of reference. The interview guides werebuilt with the key frame of reference in mind, these guides were usedto collect the qualitative primary data through interviews.TheroreticalPerspective:Having the deductive approach in mind we first looked at theoriesregarding leadership and sports psychology to build up our knowledge.The trait approach was the main focus within each subject as our goalwas to compare these in the end.EmpiricalFoundation:The empirical material is collected through seven interviews wherethree of these have been with representatives from the recruitmentindustry and the other four with people having a professionalbackground in sports. This data has been the material for the analysisand result, which is presented by comparing it with known theories.Conclusion: In this final part the observation that have been made during the studywill be presented. The conclusion is that following five attributes havematched between the two respondent groups drive, communicationskills, inspirer, perceptive and finally goal-oriented. These aretherefore of high importance for the suggested future studies withinthe field.This thesis is written in Swedish.
