Trygghet : - En fallstudie i Kroksbäck

Sammanfattning: This bachelor's thesis aims to study security from a residential perspective. The study has been carried out using a qualitative method with interviews and walking-along tours, it has a basis in a geographically defined case study of the residential area Kroksbäck. There are many different approaches and methods to improve security in residential areas. This can be done both through physical design, by separating them from public places, and through social initiatives, for example by investing in meeting places and to encourage movement in the area. The results of studies show that there is a strong connection between youth gangs and the physical environment that contributes to the insecurity in the area. It is very clear what needs to change in the area in order to have increased security among the residents and that is improvement of lighting, several activities that contribute to more activity in the area and security walkingalong both in the evening and during the day to get an insight into the problems which are related to safety in the residential area.
