    Sammanfattning : This essay explores how different traits of hegemonic masculinity in Sally Rooney’s Normal People are presented through the male characters using gender studies as the theoretical approach and whether they reinforce or subvert norms of hegemonic masculinity through their interactions with each other and Marianne.
