16. Sharing Quantum Resources Across a Metropolitan Network
17. Gossiping electrons : Strong decoherence from screening
Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/MaterialteoriSammanfattning : In a strongly correlated material the localized electrons, typically the electrons in the 3d-orbitals, become entangled with each other through the Coulomb interaction. However, these electrons also interact with more mobile (itinerant) electrons in the s- and p-orbitals. LÄS MER
18. Demonstrating quantum entanglement and Hong-Ou-Mandel effect, using type-II spontaneous parametric down conversion with C programming for data collection
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/FysikSammanfattning : Spontaneous parametric down conversion (SPDC) is used to generate quantum entangled photons through a non-linear crystal. The entanglement of photons is demonstrated by observing the effects of indistinguishability on photons, first through time and energy, then by polarization. The Hong-Ou-Mandel (HOM) effect was also demonstrated. LÄS MER
19. Information Flow and Local Observables in Many Body Localized Systems
Master-uppsats, KTH/FysikSammanfattning : Disordered quantum many-body systems exhibiting the many-body localization (MBL) phenomenon evade the fate of thermalization due to the existence of an extensively large set of quasi-local integrals of motion (l-bits). Due to the size of the Hilbert space of many-body systems, it is hard to compute the time evolution of many-body systems generally, which hinders our understanding of the MBL phenomenon. LÄS MER
20. Nonlinear mode coupling and parametric amplification with superconducting kinetic inductance
Master-uppsats, KTH/Tillämpad fysikSammanfattning : We investigate the resonant characteristics of superconducting meandering nanowires to design a nonlinear kinetic inductance traveling-wave parametric amplifier. The devices are patterned out of 15 nm thick NbTiN films. They consist of a coplanar waveguide, that shrinks into 100 nm wide meandering nanowires. LÄS MER
