Sammanfattning: Background: Since the 60s of the 20th century, wearable technology has attracted theattention of researchers all over the world. In recent years, with the development of thetimes, wearable technology has developed rapidly in the fields of medical care andeducation. In the medical field, wearable device and some portable medical electronicdevices are used to predict and prevent diseases, help diagnose potential health threats,monitor body functions, and even treat diseases. In order to meet the medical needs ofan aging society, medical wearable device that can measure physiological signals areseen as the main tool for medical projects, enabling users to obtain basic health data.But at present, little is known about how this group uses medical wearable devices, andthere are few qualitative reviews to describe their experience with wearable device overtime.Aim: The aim of the study was to describe the experience of using medical wearabledevices from the older adults’ perception.Methods: This is a descriptive literature review in which the authors used PubMed andCINAHL databases to search for relevant references.Results: In the 9 articles applied, the authors finally identified three themes, which are:medical wearable device problems, medical wearable device changes life, and medicalwearable device functions.Conclusions: Although medical wearable devices have many defects and shortcomings,and even violate the privacy of the elderly, but overall, we have come to the conclusionthat medical wearable devices are more beneficial than harmful.Keywords: Application device experience, Medical, Older adults, Wearable device.
