Förstudie om solcellsanläggning på Cytiva Boländerna i Uppsala

Sammanfattning: This report will go through the process of analyzing an investment in solar panels. This investmentconsist of a solar cell plant at Cytivas facility. The investment is desirable as solar cells represent a fastway to increase the max capacity for the facility’s power. Two scenarios were planned, a smaller and abigger plant. The reason for this was to investigate the impact of different levels of energy taxes in thefinal productivity. To calculate the profitability of this investment, statistics from SMHI was used toestimate the approximate production of the solar cell plant. The production of energy is the main factor toconsider in the evaluation of the savings from this investment. These savings are then used to concludethe profitability of the investment.Besides an economic aspect, a climate calculation is done, to compare the environmentally friendly solarpower to other energy sources. Primarily solar power is contrasted to wind power, as the latter is the mainsource of energy that Cytiva uses to run its operation.
