Sammanfattning: This study was conducted at three companies, where decisions recently had been made to make redundancies. The aim of this study was to see whether three groups with divergent perspectives, attributed the decision differently. The participants (98 people) answered questions from their own, the ingroup's, and the two outgroups' perspectives, respectively. Actor observer effect, attitude towards the decision and the participants' ability to change perspectives were tested. A questionnaire with rating-scale questions for attitude and openended questions for attribution was used. The latter was coded with B. F. Malle's coding scheme F.EX, version 4.0. The results showed that there was an actor observer effect at some of the attribution-levels. The participants showed good ability to take the perspectives of the other groups regarding attributions, though the two outgroups' perspectives proved to be more difficult to take than the ingroup's. The results demonstrated expected group differences in attitude and ability amongst the participants to estimate the other groups' attitudes.
