    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to gain a deeper understanding of how librarians in Swedish public- and academic libraries approach the much-disputed question regarding the acquisition of controversial materials. This study is based on six semi-structured interviews with seven different librarians working in either public- or academic libraries in the south of Sweden, all assigned with the task of acquiring new materials to their library collection.
