    Sammanfattning : The occurrence of 86 chemicals of emerging concern (CECs) (including pharmaceuticals, parabens, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, pesticides, stimulants, an isoflavone and an industrial chemical) was investigated in this study at Hovgården, a waste facility in Uppsala (Sweden). The selected CECs were analysed using solid phase extraction, sludge extraction and ultra-high pressure liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Anaerobic treatment of landfill leachate using sulphide precipitation was tested at pilot scale for the purpose of heavy metal removal.     Sammanfattning : The aim of this master thesis was to investigate which leachate treatment methods are the most suitable for Nyvång landfill, Åstorp, with respect to the character of the leachate, best available technique (BAT), the circumstances of the facility and the leachate receptor. Firstly, assessments were undertaken of the leachate characteristics and the receptor’s conditions; nitrogen and phosphorus levels are too high, so the treatment has to focus on these two issues.
