6. Characterisation of the LYCCA Double-Sided Silicon Strip Detectors
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysikSammanfattning : The goal of this thesis work is to describe the methods used and perform comprehensive testing of the Double-Sided Silicon-Strip Detectors (DSSD) prior to their implementation in the Lund-York-Cologne CAlorimeter (LYCCA) detector. In the framework of this project, the DSSD characterisation was carried out to ensure specification compliance prior to their "in-kind contribution" delivery to the HISPEC experiment at the NUSTAR collaboration. 7. Phase and Interface Design in Potential Earth-Abundant Multi-Component Photocatalysts
L3-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Kemiska institutionenSammanfattning : Transition metal phosphides are low-cost, earth-abundant semiconductors with promising properties for photocatalysis, including water-splitting. When combined with other semiconductors or noble metals in nanoparticles, their photocatalytic performance can be drastically enhanced. LÄS MER
8. Correlation between microstructure and fatigue cracks in cast aluminium alloy A205
Kandidat-uppsats, Jönköping University/Tekniska HögskolanSammanfattning : Materials research in the aerospace industry is, among other things, focused on reducing the weight and increasing the life of components. Materials with high strength and long lifespan are therefore examined. LÄS MER
9. An Infrared Stellar Thermometer
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Astronomi - Genomgår omorganisationSammanfattning : Infrared (IR) spectroscopy has many advantages over optical, one of which is allowing us to see through intergalactic dust, letting us probe deeper into space and dust-dense regions such as galactic centers. However the investigating the IR spectral range is a relatively new field, owing to recent developments in detector technology, and stellar parameter determination in IR is not well researched. 10. Towards a high resolution view of infrared line formation
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Astronomi - Genomgår omorganisationSammanfattning : Observing in the infrared has many benefits, such as seeing through the interstellar dust in the galaxy, easier use of adaptive optics, and better flux ratios for direct observations of exoplanets. Before the infrared spectral range can be utilised for highly accurate stellar spectroscopy there is a need for a better understanding of both stellar modelling and the atomic physics that go into forming spectral lines.
