6. Damping Profile Research for Corpower Ocean's Wave Energy Converter
Master-uppsats, KTH/Optimeringslära och systemteoriSammanfattning : With increasing energy demanding and greenhouse gases from fossil fuel, the need to develop new ways to convert energy in sustainable methods is becoming more and more urgent. Corpower Ocean AB designed a point absorber type wave energy converter to harvest energy from surface wave. LÄS MER
7. Off-Grid Market Opportunities for Wave Power Technology
M1-uppsats, Lunds universitet/ProduktionsekonomiSammanfattning : The long-term objective within the wave energy industry is to deliver large-scale wave energy farms connected to large national power grids. However, this objective cannot be reached with today’s wave energy technologies at their current maturity levels. LÄS MER
8. One- and Three-dimensional P- and S-wave Velocity Models of Central and Southern Sweden Based on SNSN Data
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/GeofysikSammanfattning : The velocity structures of southern and central part of Sweden have been derived with the local tomography (LET) method. The region has been divided into two study areas and the datasets come from the P- and S-wave traveltimes recorded by the Swedish National Seismic Network (SNSN). LÄS MER
9. Numerical Studies of Vortex Core States in Type II Superconductors
Master-uppsats, Institutionen för fysikSammanfattning : In this thesis, we study an isolated vortex in an s-wave superconductor by solving the Bogoliubov-de Gennes equations self-consistently on a disc. We calculate the order parameter and supercurrent profiles, as well as the distribution of quasiparticle states. LÄS MER
10. Seismic tomography in the source region of the May 29th 2008 earthquake-aftershock-sequence in southwest Iceland
Kandidat-uppsats, GeofysikSammanfattning : On May 29th 2008 two earthquakes with moment magnitude of Mw ~6 occurred in the southwestern part of Iceland. The second earthquake struck within only seconds after the first, on a fault ~5 km west from the first fault. The aftershock sequence was recorded by 14 seismic stations during the subsequent 34 days. LÄS MER
