  1. 1. Quality of Spent Mushroom Compost Amended with Organic Material- Effect on Nutrient Content and Plant Growth

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Biosystems and Technology (from 130101)

    Författare :Rasha Kamel; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Apple Waste; Wood Chips; Microbial Content; pH; Pseudomonas; General Bacterial Flora; General Fungal Flora; Electrical Conductivity; Nutrient Content; Bulk Density; Porosity; Water Holding Capacity;

    Sammanfattning : Peat, as a non-renewable growing media, poses environmental concerns due to extraction and decomposition processes, leading to increased greenhouse gas emissions. Alternatives growing media with potential to replace or reduce the use of peat are of great need. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Översikt och identifiering av Neonectria ditissima, Neofabraea spp. och Colletotrichum spp. på äppelfrukt

    Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Plant Breeding (from 130101)

    Författare :Anna Johansson; Maja Skans; [2023]
    Nyckelord :PCR; postharvest; bitterröta; Malus domestica; fruktträdskräfta; kolonimorfologi; lagringsröta; äpple;

    Sammanfattning : Äppelodling upptar huvuddelen av Sveriges fruktodlingsareal, men den svenska produktionen är fortfarande liten i jämförelse med andra länder i Europa. Om Sveriges produktion ska ha möjlighet att konkurrera med andra länder måste odlingen bli mer effektiv och ett viktigt steg på vägen är att öka kunskapen om skador på äpple under lagring. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Biological control of verticillium stem striping disease on oilseed rape : fungi as friends and foes

    Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Forest Mycology and Plant Pathology

    Författare :André Åbonde; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Biological control; Oilseed rape; Clonostachys rosea; Verticillium longisporum; Verticllium stem striping disease;

    Sammanfattning : The cultivation of oilseed rape faces challenges caused by pests and pathogens, and soil-borne pathogens such as Plasmodiaphora brassicae (clubroot) are among the main causes of disease. Verticillium longisporum is another soil-borne pathogen, which causes the verticillium stem striping disease in Brassica plants, including oilseed rape. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Optimization of sterilization method for cultivation of filamentous fungi on lemon waste

    M1-uppsats, Högskolan i Borås/Akademin för textil, teknik och ekonomi

    Författare :Oliver Conradsson; David Ljungberg; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Lemon waste; lemon waste; sterilization; autoclavation; fungal cultivation; bubble column bioreactor; fungal biomass Rhizopus delemar;

    Sammanfattning : Consumption of citrus fruits and citrus juice production creates wastes, which could be valorized by using it for cultivating fungi. Before cultivation, the medium needs to be sterilized though autoclavation. Larger volumes used when autoclaving requires longer heating cycles and therefore runs the risk of degrading the medium to a greater extent. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Production of filamentous fungal biomass on waste-derived volatile fatty acids for ruminant feed supplementation and it's in vitro digestion analysis

    Master-uppsats, Högskolan i Borås/Akademin för textil, teknik och ekonomi

    Författare :Mohammadali Bouzarjomehr; [2022]
    Nyckelord :VFAs volatile-fatty-acids ; Fungi production; Feed production.; Fermentation processes; Aspergillus oryzae; A. oryzae fungal biomass; Sustainability; Rumen fluids; Evaluation of the digestibility of the produced fungal biomass; TT method analysis; Gas production method; Nylon bag method analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Single cell proteins such as that of edible filamentous fungal biomass are considered as a promising sustainable source of animal feed supplementation. Filamentous fungi can be cultivated on different organic substrates including volatile fatty acids (VFAs) such as acetic, propionic, and butyric acids. LÄS MER
