1. Unauthorised Session Detection with RNN-LSTM Models and Topological Data Analysis
Master-uppsats, KTH/Matematik (Avd.)Sammanfattning : This thesis explores the possibility of using session-based customers data from Svenska Handelsbanken AB to detect fraudulent sessions. Tools within Topological Data Analysis are employed to analyse customers behavior and examine topological properties such as homology and stable rank at the individual level. LÄS MER
2. Bioinformatic approaches for detecting homologous genes in the genomes of non-model organisms : A case study of wing development genes in insect genomes
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/EvolutionsbiologiSammanfattning : Identifying homologous genes, that is genes from a common ancestor, is important in comparative genomic studies for understanding gene annotation and the predicted function of a gene. Several pieces of software, of which the most well-known is BLAST, have been developed for identifying homologues, but this can be challenging in non-model organisms where sometimes poor quality of genome assemblies and lack of annotation make it difficult to robustly identify homologues. 3. Initial evaluation of the Meritas Troponin I test for measurement of equine cardiac troponin I
Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Clinical SciencesSammanfattning : Cardiac troponin I (cTnI) is considered a specific and a sensitive biomarker of cardiac disease, and due to a high inter-species sequence homology; human cTnI assays can often be used in veterinary medicine. The main aim of this study was to perform an initial evaluation of a human cTnI test, the Meritas Troponin I test, for measurement of equine plasma cTnI, in order to investigate whether the test could be a possible subject for a more comprehensive validation. 4. Molecular studies on infections with two nidoviruses: Bovine Coronavirus and Equine Arteritis Virus
L3-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Biomedical Sciences and Veterinary Public HealthSammanfattning : Infections with nidoviruses can cause various problems in animals and human beings. Bovine coronavirus (BCoV) has been considered as an important pathogen, causing severe diarrhea of newborn calves, winter dysentery of adult cattle, and respiratory disease in calves. LÄS MER
