  1. 11. Decomposition of leaf litter in headwater streams. : Effects of changes in the environment and contribution of microbial and shredder activity on litter decomposition.

    Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för ekologi, miljö och geovetenskap

    Författare :Johan Lidman; [2015]
    Nyckelord :Leaf-litter decomposition; headwaters; microbial decomposition; shredders; ecosystem adaptation;

    Sammanfattning : Headwaters, which are the most common stream order in the landscape, are mostly dependent on energy produced in the terrestrial system, largely consisting of leaf litter from riparian vegetation. The aim of this study was to investigate the decomposition in headwaters of leaf litter from three native (alder, birch, spruce) and one non-native (lodgepole pine) species and how decomposition responds to changes in the environment. 2. 12. Karaktärisering, utvärdering och avsättning av Stena Metalls magnetiska fines

    Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan i Halmstad/Sektionen för ekonomi och teknik (SET)

    Författare :Karin Assarsson; [2014]
    Nyckelord :Shredder residue; Magnetic fines; Recycling; Characterisation; End of life vehicles; : Magnetisk fines; Fragmenteringsrest; Materialåtervinning; Karaktärisering fines;

    Sammanfattning : With a growing population on earth the amount of end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) and other scrap steel increases. The European Directive 2000/53/CE” requires a minimum of 95 % reuse and recovery and 85 % re-use and recycling no later than 1 January 2015, for end-of life vehicles. This imposes a need for more efficient recycling and recovery. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Experimental investigation of thermal conversion of solid waste under high temperature agent (steam/air)

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Samhällsplanering och miljö

    Författare :Roger Gołombek; [2013]
    Nyckelord :thermal conversion solid waste steam;

    Sammanfattning : Most of the problems with providing a continuous and sustainable energy supply for the worldwide society are negative consequences to the environment and its living habitants steaming from uses of conventional technologies. Those consequences should be minimized by developing and improving new technologies as well as by utilization of other type of feedstock than fossil fuels, such as biomass, industrial or municipal solid waste. 4. 14. Lokala skillnader i konsumtion av påväxtalger och terrestra löv hos en differentierad population av Asellus aquaticus

    Kandidat-uppsats, Institutionen för fysik, kemi och biologi; Tekniska högskolan

    Författare :Emma Jansson; [2013]
    Nyckelord :Asellus aquaticus; consumption; detritus; periphyton; eco-evolution;

    Sammanfattning : That ecological and evolutionary processes can take place on the same time scale is a recent insight. Today we also know that they are directly linked to each other. In the lake Tåkern, in year 2000, there was a structural change when phytoplankton declined and submerged vegetation, mainly stoneworts began to spread. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Grovkrossning av stubbar : en produktivitetsstudie

    Magister-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Forest Resource Management

    Författare :Mattias Bertilsson; [2011]
    Nyckelord :Stubbar; stubbkrossning; krossmaskiner; tidsstudie; fabrikat;

    Sammanfattning : The Swedish parliament has decided that Sweden should increase its usage of renewable fuel sources to a level of 50% of the total energy consumption in Sweden by the year 2020. One way to reach that goal may be to increase the usage of stumps as a bio-fuel. LÄS MER
