Sammanfattning: The purpose of the paper is to investigate how young adults experience their situation in the labor market and its consequences for everyday life. This is a qualitative study where the interviewees have described their experiences in the labor market, which resulted in a predominantly negative tone. Interviewees point out the problem of the insecure employment forms which affect their lives a lot because they are unable to plan their free time due to unscheduled work and uncomfortable working hours. Furthermore, they describe the labor market as uncertain as concerns about the uncertain future are significant. Hence, how to make the economy go together and create a stable life. They have dreams of the future and with some fear the majority have chosen to study to achieve their goals, however, the interviewees are convinced that their way there will be long and complicated. Interviewees prove to be very disappointed that it is very difficult for them to establish themselves in the labor market, where they have noticed that the response to them is not the same as for the other employees. The result is supported by previous research, which is described in the paper. There sometimes the sociologist Karl Marx describing capitalism in a changed society and the consequences of this. Furthermore, the theory describes unsafe jobs, the high demands of society, the importance of education in order to achieve better chances of establishing, flexible work life and theories of how success is to be achieved.
