Studie och realisering av ett bränsletransportsystem i en överordnad miljö

Sammanfattning: As the primary objective of the thesis was to reduce the need for staffing and manual rounds at Västhamnsverket and to be able to control the process from Filbornaverket, we have developed a new feature description for Västhamnsverkets fuel transportation system and made a realization of this feature description in an ABB 800xA system. At present day the fuel transportation system is regulated from a lectern(Västhamnsverkets control panel) with limited alarm managment and system monitoring. By updating it to an ABB 800xA system we got the desired monitoring and the ability for remote control from Filbornaverket. The report below describes the different problems we’ve worked towards solving and the different inprovments that the operations staff has presented to us, we also describe the various technical elements that our thesis touches, such as what a PLC is, what KKS(Kraftwerk-Kennzeichen-System) means to the process and its use and what an I/O is and it’s purpose. As Västhamnsverket is structured as a DCS system, this will also be explaind to the reader. We also dive deeper into the 800xA system and describes the tools used for programming and image building, these are as follows: Control Builder and Plant Explorer, where the images are based on a modified Visual Basic 6 interface, this can be described as an HMI and will therefore also be addressed in the report. The communication protocol used by the controller (PLC) and Ethernet are an essential part of the system as the latter is the link between the controller and the 800xA, thus this will also be explaind.
