Sammanfattning: Today we have increased usage of electrical and hybrid cars and therefore higher demands on the charging infrastructure. This report is about development possibilities for an existing charging station for Mälarenergi AB. The report will look over different alternatives to reach the futures demand from customers. Two examples are solar panels and wind turbines which both could work as compliment to the electric network. A simulation was made for both alternatives in Pvsyst and WindPro to calculate the possibilities with these systems and see how they could work together. The result was reviewed, and calculations were made to see how much energy both systems could provide for the charging station. It is also discussed how this would affect the residential area. It was also considered if it would be necessary to increase the power of the charging post and what effect this would have on the electric network. The purpose of this study is to investigate what development opportunities there are for Rocklunda charging station which is in the Rocklunda area in Västerås. This will be done by carrying out a survey of the power outlet from Rocklunda's charging station and electricity supply to the charging station by developing a calculation program for dimensioning the combination of charge, solar, wind and battery storage. The work is limited to charging infrastructure that includes the slow AC charger and the fast DC charger for rechargeable cars. The method used in this report consists of literature study, equations, interviews, and calculation programs such as PVsyst, WindPro, PVGIS and LECO.
