It was further found that critical realism and social structures had a significant impact on the personal characteristics and learning process. Implications: The study develops a comprehensive model focusing on the intersection of personal characteristics and experiential learning from failure. Based on the study conclusions, recommendations for further research were suggested, pointing to the relevance of exploring social context affecting personal characteristics and the learning process from failure. Keywords: entrepreneurial learning, failure, experiential learning, personal characteristics
