Sammanfattning: The transportation of stack sheets between the warehouse and production area is today donewith the help of an immersive part of the production table and with the use traverses in thefacility. The warehouse and production area are housed under the same roof but in twoseparate buildings with a crossing road in between. When in use the immersive table isblocking this road normally accessed by trucks and personal. Since of the layout thetransportation of these stacks is very time consuming when two separate traverses need tobe used.This work is a continuation of a previous thesis where the conclusion was to implement aconveyor belt to improve the material flow at the departmental core facility Hitachi ABBPower Grid’s facilities in Ludvika Sweden. Although the thesis takes into account thematerial’s properties such as weight and size, these must be taken into special considerationwhen the solution is to be installed or redesigned with this intersecting path.The conclusion is to utilize a transfer trolley instead of a conveyor system because it is betterfor the busy road and has a similar effect on the material flow as the use of conveyor belts.The transfer trolley is then led via a rail track built into the floor that trucks can easily driveover.
