Sammanfattning: The growing electricity use in Sweden contributes to an increased power output from the power grid, which can lead to a capacity shortage and this strain is expected to increase further until 2045. Historically, the Swedish power grids have managed to supply enough electricity to cover the population’s needs, but with a fast growing society, the current power grid is no longer sufficient. As the expansion of the electricity grid is a slow process, other solutions must be implemented. A growing solution that several electricity distribution companies are starting to use is that customers are charged based on the power peaks they cause. The EU has also drawn attention to the importance of solving this problem through new legislation concerning citizens organizing in local energy communities to counteract these power peaks. The project aims to create an interactive web service where users can see the power peaks for their own household and for the energy community they are part of. The result is a web service where users can upload their measurement data for analysis and visualization. Furthermore, the service presents how several households can be connected to an energy community and how it can lead to more sustainable power consumption and lower the power peaks on the local power grid.
