Sammanfattning: Knowledge is today considered the most important factor to create competitive organizations and the transfer of knowledge is therefore of great importance. More companies are discovering the advantages with the agile way of work to improve effectiveness. One of the leading agile methods is scrum, when a team consisting of individuals with diverse competences work closely together to deliver a product. Knowledge transfer is essential for agile teams using scrum since the method is dependent on good communication and that the team has the knowledge to succeed. This study is meant to describe and explain 1) how an agile way of work is affecting knowledge transfer within a scrum team 2) what factors are affecting the knowledge transfer within the team. To achieve this a multi case study, one extensive and three minors, were performed on knowledge intense businesses within information technology, business strategy and digitalization. Data gathering was made from semi structured interviews, observations and documents. The result shows that agile way of work is promoting knowledge transfer and that four main factors, level of distribution, knowledge promoting activities, spontaneous interaction and documentation have affected the transfer within the teams.
