Vilka bilder av föräldraskap och barn konstrueras på internetforum för separerade föräldrar? - en diskursiv studie av särlevande föräldrars diskussioner på communitysidor

Sammanfattning: The aim and purpose of this paper was to examine the images of children and parenting, with a focus on parental separation and reconstruction of family and parenthood, which was constructed in internet forums. Which pictures emerge of separated mothers and fathers? My material was obtained from two large community pages for parents on internet. In my analysis I have chosen to be inspired by discourse analysis as a method and I analyzed my material with social constructivist theory as a base. The results showed, among other things, on an expressed need for single parents to share experiences with like-minded, internet forums is expressed to fill this need in a positive way. In my material, internet forums appeared to be an important place for parents to meet others parents in the same situation with whom they can share experiences, give and receive support and advice with. The image that was constructed on internet forums seem to be similar to the changes that have occurred in society over the past decades, with more fathers involved in their children's lives and a greater sharing of the responsibility for the child, even after the parents have separated. In the material the importance of collaboration and believe in yourself as a parent, was the dominant images that was to be seen as most important for the children's future, health and development.
