Sammanfattning: This project consists of the redesign of a drying cabinet: the model ETS 1500. This product belongs to the NIMO company, and it has some problems regarding design, usability and assembling. The process consists of a prestudy based on an analysis of the current product to find where the problems are. In this stage user studies were also carried out through observations, interviews and questionaries. With that information gathered, personas were created to describe the typical user. To finish this section of the process, DFMA principles and ergonomic aspects regarding the product were studied. After that, the list of requirements was compiled. The process follows with the idea generation, the study of mechanisms and the definition of concepts. Then, the concept selection was made to select the winning one. Finally, a CAD prototype of the final design was made. The final result was successfully achieved from a sustainable point of view and fulfilling the requirements established by the company and the ones that came later from the prestudy stage. The final design presents a flat door, a handle placed in a better position to provide a better reach and a more modern design that matches the rest of the products from the company. Also, the usability problem was solved, establishing a better mechanism to provide a smoother movement in which the user does not have to make any effort. However, there is always room for improvement, such as a proper building of the final prototype in real life to make a real test of the mechanism.
