Sammanfattning: This study investigates how the value of preserved buildings in Halmstad are affected in relation to people. During my three years of studies at Malmö University, I was taught to create something unique and at the same time include people. It is the job of architects to create something that creates an inviting feeling. The preserved buildings in Halmstad which are Norre Port, St. Nikolai church, Halmstad castle and Halmstad centralstation contain a rich history that is preserved for a reason. Through qualitative methods, the results are presented based on six site visits with the help of literature studies for more context. The site visits are equally divided into observing the buildings without human intervention and with human intervention. By randomly selecting people who will assist the study by answering questions related to the value and interacting in a qualitative dialogue. The study includes variation with different ages and genders to get a more inclusive result and broad reflections on how age can make a difference to people's experiences.
