The purpose with this essay (paper) is to examine if the population register fulfil their real aim when talking about childrens residence rules. Also to examine the connection between the reigster and social need in comunity. Population registration in Sweden has ancient roots and the church administrated it. The first regulation on church books dates from the year 1600. Each person resident in Sweden must be registered for population purpus and the volym each year is name, marriage, migration, birth, divorce and death. The population register is now administered by the Tax Agency. The place where you are registred is important for many rights and obligations. It´s therefore important that every new circumstance become reported to the Tax Abency too maintain a correct register. The concept of guardianship is a legal on and any written notification that regulates the childrens everyday care does not affect the population register for the childrens residence. There are no seperate statutory regulations for childrens residence. Some cases with children residence are hard to cope with and each case has to be studied individuallity. Unanimity must exist in the Swedish statutory.
