There will be different focuses on aspects such as gender, the spanish flue, both world wars and rising motoring. These results will be compared to national statistics which will provide a wider perspective and present if the villages comply or compose with the national statistics. The study will be connected and compared to previous studies as well as the two theories, The demographic transition and The epidemiologic transition. The aim of the use of different theories is to put the results in to a greater context.   The result of the study shows that during the first time period the most common cause of death were infectious diseases. This changed during 1939-1949 in which heart-diseases and cancer has a huge up-swing. During both time periods, women had a higher mortality rate than men in most of the villages. Despite growth of population from the first period and during the second period there were lower mortality rates in every village. The spanish flu had some but small impact on the causes of death during the first period, the world wars and the rising motoring didn’t have the same impact despite some individual cases.
