Developing Software for Commercial Battery Analytics

Detta är en Kandidat-uppsats från Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för informationsteknologi

Sammanfattning: When dealing with older or niche measuring instruments and machines, one can encounter some problems when wanting to expand their software with new functionality and features. This is a problem encountered by Real-time Battery Analytics, a company in its pre-startup phase. The company struggles with outdated software for its machines, which limits them and makes it difficult for them to modify the software. The goal of the application LiCo is to create a new foundation, where communication with machines as well as functionalities in the application are built with changeability and potential for future development in mind. This provides a basis that Real-time Battery Analytics can continue to work on as the business develops. LiCo achieves, with reservations for certain machine-specific commands and methods, this main goal primarily through documented methods for communication with the measuring instruments and a simple interface that is relatively easy to modify.
