Sammanfattning: This essay adresses the police in Malmö and their use of SFS 1885:27 during the beginning of the 20th century. This essay shows that said law was not used to systematicly harass homosexual males in Malmö. It does however show the said was used against rule of law and to harass at least some homosexual males. It shows how one male’s life was destroyed and that he was sentenced to forced labor several times even though his actions wasn’t covered by the necessary prerequisites of the law. The essay shows what happenings in society, politics etc. that effected the use of different laws agains homosexual males. For exampel the industrial revolution, poverty, urbanisation and political tendencies. The police in Malmö was in 1911 the first police departement in Sweden to prosecute several homosexual males in one case, this was greately a result of tendencies in the society that are mentioned above.
